Terms & Conditions

1. General

Mahima Packers and Movers Private Limited (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) provides packing, moving, and transportation services for old and used Household Goods subject to the following terms and conditions. By booking our services, the customer agrees to abide by these terms.


2. Insurance Responsibility

  • Insurance of Old and Used Household goods is entirely the responsibility of the customer.
  • The Company does not provide insurance coverage unless specifically requested by the customer in writing.
  • If insurance is arranged, the Company’s role is limited only to documentation and coordination.
  • All risks covered under insurance, including damage, theft, fire, or loss, shall be settled by the insurance company, not by Mahima Packers and Movers Private Limited.

3. Damage Without Insurance

  • If the customer does not opt for insurance, the Company’s liability for damage or loss shall be limited only as mentioned below.
  • In such cases, the declared value of goods by the customer will not be considered.
  • The value of goods will be calculated as:

Total booking amount ÷ total number of packages = value per package

  • The maximum liability of the Company in any case shall be up to 50% (fifty percent) of the assessed value as per the above calculation, subject to management approval.

4. Valuable Items

  • The Company is not responsible for loss or damage of cash, jewellery, ornaments, documents, laptops, mobile phones, electronic gadgets, or any other valuable items.
  • Such items must be carried by the customer personally and should not be handed over for packing or transportation.

5. Delivery Timeline

  • For part-load consignments, the estimated delivery time is 7 to 10 working days.
  • Delivery timelines are approximate and may vary due to circumstances beyond the Company’s control.

6. Force Majeure (Uncontrollable Events)

The Company shall not be held responsible for delay, damage, or non-delivery due to:

  • Road conditions or traffic disruptions
  • Natural calamities (floods, earthquakes, storms, etc.)
  • Accidents or vehicle breakdowns
  • Political disturbances, strikes, riots, or government restrictions
  • Festival season delays or peak-demand periods
  • Any other force majeure events beyond human control

7. Insurance Claims

  • Any claim related to insured goods must be directly raised with the insurance company.
  • The Company will assist only with necessary paperwork and documentation.
  • Settlement amount and approval are solely at the discretion of the insurance provider.

8. Customer Responsibility

  • The customer must verify the condition of goods at the time of delivery.
  • Any visible damage must be reported immediately at the time of delivery.
  • Claims raised after delivery acknowledgment may not be entertained.

9. Acceptance of Terms

By booking services with Mahima Packers and Movers Private Limited, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted all the above terms and conditions.
